Dance Central was the best selling dance game on the Kinect, and arguably the best selling game for it as a whole, so it would make sense that Harmonix would make a sequel. Harmonix definitely brought some of their best moves to the Microsoft conference at E3 when they announced Dance Central 2. With new features like voice control, a campaign mode and a re-designed Break It Down it definitely impressed a lot of people. Also all songs from the original Dance Central will be importable in the second totaling over 100 songs at launch for the franchise.
However, the best thing announced was simultaneous multi-player dancing. That’s right, guys, you can finally create the dance duo of your dreams in Dance Central 2 and battle other crews. While a launch date has yet to be announced (the official website says later this year), we can break-in our dancing shoes in anticipation knowing that the following songs will be included:
Rihanna – “Rude Boy”
Nicki Minaj – “Massive Attack”
Montell Jordan – “This Is How We Do It”
La Roux – “Bulletproof”
B.o.B. feat. Bruno Mars – “Nothin’ on You”
Bananarama – “Venus”
Usher – “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love”
We are really excited by Dance Central 2 and it looks to be a huge hit on Kinect later this year.
